Registration for Local Dispatch
Under the auspices of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), Local 442 organizes labor for entertainment facilities and producers throughout Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo Counties. We are not an employer. We fulfill work requests made to us by employers with whom we have contracts.
Process:
Register for our Dispatch System. In our Dispatch Registration form we'll collect your contact information, share a list of certifications you may possess, inform us of your most pertinent job experience, and at the end you’ll be advised of our Non-Discrimination and Referral Policies and be given a chance to review our Dispatch Agreement. Registrants will need to agree to these policies and procedures in order to complete registration and be dispatched for work. If you do not agree or have questions, do not register. Pressing SUBMIT on the form signifies your agreement.
You may revisit the form at any time to update your information.
Please read the Dispatch Agreement carefully as there is important information about seniority within the system, how to retain seniority, expectations, fines for offenses and more. You are responsible for being aware of all details of the Dispatch Agreement.
Note that 3% of gross wages is due to the Local for operating the dispatch system.
Resumes and Certifications:
If you wish for us to have your resume or certifications on file, please send any pertinent documents to executive-board@iatse442.org. Documents must be titled in the form LastName_FirstName_DocumentTitle to be considered.
Note on Availability:
It is the responsibility of the stagehand to keep their availability up to date in the Call Steward software.
The Dispatch Officer will contact you if there is any work that week. If you hold a card in another Local, be sure to let us know.
Feel free to contact the Local 442 Executive Board with any questions.
